There are a few factors that play into getting a longer wear time with your press on nails.
You need three key components for press-ons to last –
Proper Sizing
Proper Nail Prep
Plenty of Glue
It’s important to note that NOT all women have the same skin type & nail beds. You might need more glue or extra dehydration if you’re prone to oilier skin. These tips will help guide you through that process.
Do’s and Don’t When Sizing Your Nail Dashes
NAIL PREP+ APPLICATION
In the graphic below you will find a step by step guide on how I prep and apply my press on nails. For a visual I also have included a video tutorial 🩷
TOP 10 TIPS
Each dash has a number on the under side of the dash. The number goes at the TIP for application (not at the cuticle).
When you size your dashes, be sure to go TRUE TO SIZE. You don’t need to leave a gap around your nail bed like with strips. If you size too big, the dashes will get air bubbles underneath and likely pop off.
Push back your cuticles back so you have a completely clean even surface for your dash to adhere too.
Lightly BUFF the nail surface with the pink side of the file. You want the entire surface to be cloudy white – this ensures the dash has something to hold onto.
Wipe nail surface with an alcohol wipe. This will remove any excess oils that we don’t want trapped under there.
I highly recommend using a Nail Dehydrator for longer wear. This will help to fully dry out your nailbeds & ensure a longer wear time.
I recommend starting with your pinkies and work towards the thumb.
Spread glue around your nail (like all around it) then do the same to the dash. I like applying about 3 brush strokes worth of glue to get a strong hold. THE GLUE GOES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE NUMBER.
Wait a few seconds.. then just press on like the video. Use a 45 degree angle like the graphic shows. The dash is made to be tapered at the cuticle, so be sure to slide it up near/a little under the cuticle. You don’t have to leave a space like when you use strips.
Clean any glue residue with Cuticle Oil while the glue mess is still wet. Wipe away with a paper towel.
File or clip dash to preferred length/shape. And VOILA! Enjoy your long lasting DIY Mani!!
Red Aspen Nail Dashes are the perfect alternative to salon acrylics or dip manicures. Nail Dashes are press-on nails that can last anywhere from a few days, up to two weeks. Just add nail glue and you’re ready to rock! With endless options for color, designs, and styles, you’re sure to find the manicure of your dreams.
Skip the hours at the salon and save your money! Our press-on nails are perfect for tossing in your bag for an inexpensive, flawless manicure on the go!
Not only do our Nail Dashes look good, but all Red Aspen nails are cruelty-free, phthalate-free and paraben-free.
But when using press-on nails, it’s important to use the correct sizes for your nails.
Why is Sizing Important?
When wearing press-on nails, it’s important to pick artificial nails that fit well on top of your natural nails. Having an ill-fitting false nail can result in your nails not lasting as long as they could, leading to a manicure lost too soon.
A loose fitting artificial nail can overlap onto the skin surrounding your nail and cause glue to spread from the natural nail to your skin. Tight fitting fake nails can cause discomfort to your natural nails and create a sensation of too much pressure. While these won’t damage your nails or skin, they’re not fun to deal with!
What are the Size Options?
Each box of Red Aspen Nail Dashes come with at least 24 nails in different sizes, so you’ll have plenty of sizing options to choose from. Not only that, but each shape of nail we offer comes with different sizes. Every shape will come with size 0, our biggest size.
Short and long square nails will go up to a size 9 and come with half sizes (4.5, 5.5, etc.)
Short coffin and short almond will go up to a size 15.
Acrylic, short squoval nails go up to a size 14.
Medium coffin, medium oval, and medium almond nails also go up to a size 14. Pro tip: The higher the number, the smaller the nail!
Red Aspen also has a line of petite nails which are perfect for those with smaller nails and nail beds. Petite sizes still run in sizes 0-9 along with half sizes, but the nails are significantly smaller than the regular Nail Dash sizes.
There are duplicates of each size, as well, so you’ll be able to mirror the size of one hand to the other, if needed!
All sizing numbers are located at the tops of your press on nails, where the tip of your nail will go!
Which Shape Will Fit My Nails Best?
Shapes are entirely up to you! If you like long, dramatic nails that help with the illusion of slimmer fingers – then medium almonds and coffins are for you. But if you prefer a shorter nail, our short square and Acrylic squoval nails will be right up your alley.
Looking for the best of both worlds? Check out our short coffin nails, short almond nails, and medium ovals! There are plenty of options so you can find your dream look.
Pick the shapes, color, and nail art you desire, and you’re ready to get sizing!
Should I Use Regular or Petite Nails?
Our petite press-on nails are perfect for those with smaller nail beds. Take a look at your natural nails, do they look on the small side? Do you have a short nail bed? Then give our petite nails a try! Our petite nails are also perfect for the little sister, niece, or mini me in your life, as the smaller sizes are an ideal fit for their smaller nails.
How Do I Figure Out Which Size Fits?
The easiest way to gauge the size of your artificial nails is to hold them up to your natural nails! Simply grab a fake nail that looks close to the size of the nail you’re fitting and try it on without the glue.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
“Does this nail feel tight?” If yes, try a bigger size.
“Did I have to push hard to make the artificial nail lay flush against my natural nail?” If yes, try a bigger size.
“Is the nail overlapping onto the skin around my nail?” If yes, try a smaller size.
“Was I easily able to place it over my nail without overlap?” If yes, then you’ve found your size!
As you find the right size for each finger, lay the nails out on the surface in front you in order from pinky to thumb. This helps avoid any confusion or mixup on which false nail should go on which finger!
What If I Can’t Find a Perfect Fit?
Even with our wide range of sizes, there might not be a press-on nail that perfectly fits your natural nail. But fear not, it’s not the end of the world! Try to find the next best size, usually one half size or full size up. Our press on nails can be trimmed and filed to fit the shape you need, so you can take a file to the sides and slim the nail down, if needed!
How Do I Apply Nail Dashes?
Applying press-on nails is a quick and easy process, and the Nail Dash box comes with everything you need! Nail Dashes come with nail glue, a cuticle pusher, a nail file and buffer, and of course, your press on nails!
Begin with bare nails. Wash and dry hands.
Push back cuticles.
Lightly file surface of nail bed. Clean nails with rubbing alcohol for better Dash adhesion.
Apply nail glue to natural nail and/or back of Dash.
Align Dash with cuticle and apply at a 45-degree angle.
Press Dash to natural nail firmly for 30 seconds.
Clip or file Nail Dashes to desired length or shape.
TIP: Apply Nail Dashes starting with the pinky and ending with the thumb.
Poof! Now you have a stunning, long lasting manicure in a dash!

Everyone loves finding new ways to express their style and creativity. Whether it’s a cute new haircut or an outfit that’s totally avant-garde, there’s something inherently fun and flirty about trying new things. The same level of excitement can easily apply to your nails, where different nail shapes, styles, and colors can quickly set your heart aflutter.
Whether you’re a French manicure kinda gal or you tend to prefer a simple coat of pink polish, there’s no denying the appeal of a gorgeous manicure, especially when you can add a playful touch to your nail look with abstract designs, a classic matte finish, or even a cute cow print! This is doubly true when it comes to press-on nails, and when the right acrylic nail design can instantly elevate your look almost entirely on its own! In this blog, we’re diving into everything we love about acrylic nails, with tips on where you can find the best acrylic nails to touch up your look, all without having to pay a nail technician to do it for you!
A Variety of Fun and Creative Acrylic Nail Ideas
Without a doubt, one of the easiest reasons to love acrylic nails is the sheer variety of fun and creative nail ideas you can choose from. From special events to seasonal get-togethers, there are just so many things you can draw inspiration from and ways to express your unique sense of style and creativity.
You can keep things minimal with a skinny French tip manicure using most of your natural nail. You can style nails with stars, moons, or comets for an otherworldly design that looks amazing on pretty much any dark color base. You can keep things classy with a clear, glazed coat, or add a touch of subtle glamour by sprinkling in some glitter. The possibilities are endless!
A Cute New Look Without the Long-term Commitment
When you want to try something new with your look, there’s a good chance you do a little back and forth in your mind on whether or not you want to commit to it, especially if it feels like something long-term. For instance, getting bangs can be a game-changer, but the growing-out process does take a while. Coloring your hair is no different, as the dye can take some time to fully wash out if you’re not too happy with the results.
On the flip side, trying something new with your nails doesn’t require nearly the same level of commitment. If you’ve got several different styles in mind, you can swap things out as needed. You can apply an oval or delicate square-shaped set of press-on acrylic nails before work, then change things up with a sexy stiletto shape for a special occasion or a fancy date-night dinner. In the same vein, you can alternate between different colors, designs, and more throughout the year, especially if you’re the type of individual who enjoys staying on top of seasonal fashion changes.
All in all, like your nail polish, you’re not forced to endure a single set of press-on nails for weeks at a time, nor are you forced to book an appointment with the nail salon every time you want to change things up. You’ve got options! More importantly, you’ve got options you can change from the comfort of your own home! That being said, make sure you have the right nail-cleaning accessories on hand to keep your nails looking their best between changes. This means ensuring your purse is packed with a cuticle remover, mani and pedi nail clippers, and nail reshaper tools, to name a few. Remember, nail care is self-care!
A Lasting and More Durable Manicure
Let’s face it, not everybody is blessed with nails that can withstand length naturally. It’s not uncommon to see women trying to grow out their nails, only to have one or two of them break off, forcing a reset on the whole process. Truth is, a lot of us have nails that are naturally weak or brittle. Some women deal with nails that curl at the edges, while others deal with nails that have unsightly ridges or bumps in them. While many of these problems can be alleviated with the right nail care products (a quality cuticle oil goes a long way), it’s important to remember that people invest in press-on nails for different reasons.
No matter your reasons for looking into fake nails, one thing is clear: a quality set of acrylic nails can provide you with not only a great manicure, but a manicure that lasts. By design, the best acrylic nails are built tougher throughout with some added strength at the tip. This makes them far less likely to chip, much less likely to bend, and even less likely to break unexpectedly. In short, this makes them ideal for anyone who has searched high and low for a set of nails they can wear comfortably to work, special events, and more.
An Affordable Alternative to the Salon
Ladies, we can all agree that going to the nail salon can be therapeutic. Having someone take special care of your hands and feet is always wonderful, no matter how ticklish you may be. However, there’s a price to pay for all pampering!
The average cost for a regular manicure can range from $10-40, and a full acrylic manicure can easily set you back $25-100. That’s not even accounting for the additional costs of trendy designs like micro nail art, gold foil, silver shades, or deluxe services, let alone the cost of doing this every 2-4 weeks. It does start to add up!
Thankfully, there are cheaper alternatives to the salon experience. By doing your nails at home, you can save time and money. Not only that, but you can easily find high-quality acrylic nails that don’t require a nail technician to apply them for you.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “What about those times I tried to do my nails, and the experience was a smudgy, goopy mess?!” That doesn’t have to be the case! With the right tools, you can apply a super cute set of acrylics all by yourself! Best of all, a premium set of acrylic nails will come with everything you need to give yourself salon-quality results with no experience necessary! It’s a win-win! Treat yourself to a trendy lip gloss nail design with a sophisticated glossy finish, or add some frosty baby blue to your nails just in time for the holidays. The choice is yours!
The Perfect Complement to Your Natural Nails
Acrylic nails are easy to love because they’re also the perfect complement to your natural nails. Even if you’ve always loved the way your nails look, you’ll quickly notice how easy it is to enhance their length and shape with the right set of acrylics. Maybe you’ve always wondered what your shorter nails would look like with a bit of length. In this case, an oval-shaped, almond-shaped, square-shaped, or squoval (a best of both worlds) acrylic nail can give you a better visual! You’d be able to experiment with some modern looks, but you’d also have the benefit of rocking some classic styles as well.
On the flip side, maybe you love the idea of acrylic nails, but you don’t want something extra long due to your job or personal preference. Fear not! Acrylic nails can just as easily be trimmed or shaped to your desired preference. All in all, it’s tough to go wrong when you invest in the right set of acrylic nails. As mentioned above, you can always replace one set of acrylics with another if your preferences change or if the situation/occasion demands it. Just make sure you have the right nail care tools we mentioned above to ensure everything goes smoothly!
Acrylics Are Easy to Apply
To piggyback off the above, acrylic nails are easy to enjoy precisely because they’re so easy to apply. The process only takes a few minutes, and you can always put the acrylics against your nails ahead of time to see if the color and shape match the look you’re going for. Here’s what the application process looks like at a glance:
How to Apply Acrylic Press-on Nails
Remove any nail polish. Wash and dry hands.
Push back cuticles with the cuticle stick.
Gently buff natural nails.
Clean the nail with rubbing alcohol or wipe.
Select Dashes that fit all 10 of your natural nails and set aside.
When applying, start with pinkies and work inward, ending with thumbs. The number on the inside of the Dash will go toward your finger tip away from the cuticle.
Apply glue to the natural nail and back of Acrylic Nail Dash, based on desired glue wear time.
Let glue dry for a few seconds, then align the Acrylic Nail Dash with the cuticle and apply at a 45-degree angle. Press firmly for 30 seconds.
File or gently clip the Acrylic Nail Dash to desired length and shape.
To reapply, add glue to the back of the acrylic nail after repeating steps above.
Likewise, removing your press-on nails is just as easy. There’s only a few steps to follow, and it gives you the chance to boost your skincare and cuticle care routines in the process. As you incorporate better skincare and nail care products into your beauty regimen, you’ll see a noticeable improvement in the strength and quality of your natural nails.

It’s no secret that Red Aspen Nail Dashes can give you the cutest manicure around. So cute, in fact, you wish it could last forever! While we can’t make Nail Dashes stick around that long, we can help you increase your wear time, so you can keep your manicure intact for as long as possible!
Red Aspen is introducing a few new tools to our collection that will help your Nail Dash manicure last even longer, as well as make the application process a breeze.
Why Use Red Aspen Nail Dashes?
Having a cute and trendy manicure can take a look from drab to fab, but not everyone has the time or money to get salon manicures every two weeks. That’s why Red Aspen created Nail Dashes.
Nail Dashes are just that – Nails in a dash! These quick and easy to apply press-on nails are a fraction of the cost compared to salon acrylics and dip manicures. Even better? They won’t damage your nails in the process.
Unlike salon acrylics, you can rotate through nails every few days or keep them on for up to two weeks! It’s all up to you. You’re also guaranteed to get perfect nail art and nail shapes every single time.
But of course, with every press-on nail, you run the risk of one or two falling off prematurely. From sizing, to nail prep, to application, there are a few factors that play into the early removal of press-on nails.
Choosing The Right Size
That’s right! Just like clothes, Nail Dashes have different sizes, and those sizes are essential to the longevity of your manicure.
A Nail Dash that’s too big can overlap onto the skin around your nail and cause glue to spread onto the skin, while a tight-fitting Nail Dash can cause too much pressure and soreness on your natural nails. These won’t cause damage to your natural nails or skin, but they’re not fun to deal with and are easily avoidable!
There are a few prep steps you can take to ensure your nails won’t budge! Follow the steps below to help keep your manicure in place for as long as you desire.
Wash Your Natural Nails with a Nail Brush
Before you begin applying your Nail Dashes, you’ll want to wash your hands in warm, soapy water and use the new Red Aspen Nail Brush to gently scrub the tops of your natural nails and underneath your nails to remove any pesky dirt and grime.
Having clean nails is important because it helps the nail glue to stick better!
File and Buff Your Natural Nails
Using the nail file/buffer included in your Nail Dash kit, or Red Aspen’s full size Nail File, gently file down any sharp edges on your natural nails. Afterwards, use the file to buff the surface of your nail beds.
Buffing your nail beds creates a rough surface for the glue to adhere to. It’s important to buff your nails very gently so your nails don’t become brittle, just rough enough so the glue has a good surface to stick to.
Prep Your Natural Nails With Red Aspen Prep Pads
Red Aspen’s Nail Prep Pads are a great new way to remove dirt and dust from your natural nail. Simply open one pack, and wipe each of your natural nails. Less dirt on your nails means less to interfere with the glue’s hold.
This product works best when paired with Red Aspen’s Nail Dehydrator.
Use Nail Dehydrator to Dehydrate Your Nails
After you’ve filed and shaped your natural nails and have wiped them with Red Aspen’s Nail Prep Pads, apply one coat of dehydrator to your clean natural nails. Wait at least 5 seconds for the product to dry, and apply your Red Aspen Nail Dashes as usual!
Red Aspen’s new Nail Dehydrator removes the moisture and oils from your natural nails to ensure the best Nail Dash adhesion.
The natural oils in your nails can be difficult for the glue to stick to, so using Nail Dehydrator is perfect for removing those oils and extending the life of your manicure!
Time For The Fun Part – Applying Your Nail Dashes!
Proper nail prep is vital to the longevity of your manicure – but on top of that, application is key! When you apply your Nail Dashes correctly, you can increase your wear time and keep your press-ons from popping off prematurely!
To apply your Red Aspen Nail Dashes, follow these steps:
Begin with bare nails. Wash hands and nail with our Nail Brush. Dry nails and hands.
Push back your cuticles or remove them with Red Aspen Cuticle Remover.
Want to make make your new nail dash manicure last longer and keep your natural nails looking their best? Use Red Aspen Cuticle Oil between Nail Dash sets.
Formulated with a hydrating and nourishing blend of Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Vitamin E, this compact, travel-ready Cuticle Oil Pen fits neatly into your purse or makeup bag for easy, on-the-go application, giving you everything you need to keep your fingernails or toenails looking strong and healthy. Yep! You read that right. You can even use this on your tootsies between pedicures!
At the same time, you can use Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen to help in Nail Dash removal. Having oil on your nails makes it difficult for the Nail Dashes to stick properly, so you’ll want to nourish your nails with the Cuticle Oil Pen first, wait at least 2 hours, then follow the Nail Dash Application instructions above for a longer lasting manicure/pedicure. That’s all there is to it!

Press on Nails Instructions and Tips for Using Red Aspen Manicure Tools
Our #1 tip is to follow proper nail prep instructions to help your press-on nails stay put. Before you start applying your Nail Dashes, it’s important to make sure you have the right tools and supplies. First, choose a nail style that best suits your look – whether that means bright colors or subtle neutrals is up to you!
Then pick out a shape and length – almond-shaped nails or coffin-shaped nails may be great for special occasions and your style, while shorter nails may work better for everyday wear.
Next, make sure you have all the necessary manicure tools for application. Luckily for you, Red Aspen press on nail kits have everything you need to achieve the perfect press on nail set. Here is what is included in every box of Red Aspen Nail Dashes:
24 – 30 Press On Nail Dashes in various nail sizes
Dual-sided mini file
Mini nail glue
Mini cuticle stick
Insert paper
Pick the Right Press On Nail Size
Choosing the right press on nail size for each nail is essential to achieving a flawless manicure. You want the press on nails to fit comfortably and securely on your natural nail beds, without being too tight or loose. This will help make application easier, more comfortable, and prevents the risk of damaging your natural nails.
There is a range of nails inside each box of Red Aspen press ons. Lay out the nails and hold up each press on to your nail bed to see what sizes fit best. Repeat this for all of your nail beds. Each set of Red Aspen Nails comes with 24 – 30 press on nails, so you will have extras.
Be sure to save the remaining press ons in case you need a replacement later!
Important note – There are numbers on the back tip of each press on nail. Nail numbers range from largest (size 0) to smallest (size 9 or 14, depending on the set).
The number applies at the top, furthest from the cuticles. If you are in between sizes in the press on nails, you can easily customize the press on nails and file down a larger nail to the nail size and shape that you want.
Applying Press on Nails
It is now time to customize and apply press on nails! If you are already wearing Red Aspen Nail Dashes, check out our blog How To Remove Press On Nails. Steps include soaking your nails in warm soapy water, removing excess glue, and other necessary critical step(s).
Prep your Nails – Natural Nail Beds and Cuticle Prep
Proper nail prep will ensure your press on nails last. Begin with bare nails. Wash and dry your hands. Next, clean up your cuticles. The cuticle is the transparent skin on top of your nail that protects the nail area. Apply optional cuticle softener to cuticles, then push back cuticles using a cuticle stick or cuticle pusher on each finger. This provides a clean plate for your press-on nails to adhere to.
Be gentle to your cuticles, and never tear or completely remove them. Using a cuticle nipper, remove dead excess skin along the cuticle line. Finally, use a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover to clean the nail one final time to remove any oils or lingering substances.
Prep your natural nails by first cleaning them with an alcohol prep pad, a cotton ball soaked in alcohol or nail polish remover. Be sure to remove all dirt and oil from your oil plate.
Lightly file nail bed using a nail file enough to create a rough surface. Both of these steps result in better nail dash adhesion to the natural nail bed, and will help keep your press on nails from popping off.
Optional: You can also use a nail file or mani clipper nail clipper to file or trim natural nails to the desired length.
Organize your Press on Nail Sizes
Reminder: the number goes on the TOP of the nail, furthest from your cuticle.
Next, grab the Brush on Nail Glue
Make sure the surface of your natural nails is clean and dry before applying nail glue. Apply nail glue to your natural nail that covers the full nail. When using a Brush on Nail Glue, applying fake nails is just as easy as applying a top coat. Simply swipe a layer of Brush on Nail Glue to your natural nail bed and align the press on nail first to your cuticle at a 45-degree angle.
Press the nail dash to your natural nail firmly for 30 seconds to ensure a strong bond while the glue dries.
We recommend starting with your pinky and ending with your thumb when applying Nail Dashes.
If you are wanting to wear the fake nails for a shorter period of time, simply brush a thin layer of glue onto the back of the Nail Dash itself and apply to your natural nail. To make your press on nails last for a longer period of time, apply a thin layer of glue to both your natural nail and the back of the nail dash for a more firm hold.
Last Step: Customize your press on nails length and shape
Once your Nail Dashes are applied, use a nail file and adjust your Nail Dashes to the desired length.
Optional: You can also use a nail reshaper to customize press on nail shape and length. For example, use the nail reshaper to take a medium coffin nail and turn it into a short coffin, or a medium almond into a short square nail.

One of the best things about Red Aspen press on nails is that they can be removed as easily as they are applied. In just a few simple steps, you can pop those nails off and have a fresh set (or dare to go bare by giving them a good buff and throwing on some of our conditioning Cuticle Oil). Another benefit of Red Aspen press on nails is their longevity. Unlike traditional polish which fades in a few days or chips within hours, these fake nails stay put and can be changed out as often as you like. Nail application is a breeze since every box of Red Aspen Nail Dashes includes nails in multiple sizes, a cuticle pusher (otherwise known as an orangewood stick), mini nail glue, and a mini nail file. Let’s get started!
How to remove press on nails to avoid damage
It can feel intimidating the first time you remove Nail Dashes (and any kind of fake nails in general), but it shouldn’t because it’s actually really easy. Just make sure you set aside about 10-20 minutes for it while you’re watching your fave reality television show or binging Netflix.
Step 1: Prepare your nails.
The first step to safely remove press-on nails is to take a cuticle stick, or Nail Dash Removal Tool, and gently break the seal around the edge of each Nail Dash. Look for anywhere you’re starting to have an edge or the nail is lifting up a little, and just slide the point of the cuticle stick or Removal Tool along the edge of the fake nail and your cuticle. The goal is to create an opening where a little water or Cuticle Oil can penetrate between the press on nail and your real nail!
Step 2: Apply Cuticle Oil.
The next step is to apply a little Cuticle Oil to your cuticles, and let it soak in to loosen the adhesive. Oils help break down adhesive, plus our Cuticle Oil is ultra-hydrating with ingredients like Argan, Jojoba, Rosehip, and Grape Seed Oils to give nails the TLC they need. And since you’ve already got a little opening between the press on nail and your nail, that Cuticle Oil can really permeate in between!
Step 3: Optional – Soak fingertips.
Next, you can opt to soak your nails by placing fingertips in warm, soapy water for 10 minutes, or until the adhesive begins to loosen from the nail. You can even add a few extra drops of Cuticle Oil to the soapy water for some added OOMPH! If you want to skip this step, then just keep applying Cuticle Oil and working it between the Nail Dash and your natural nail using the cuticle stick and the oil will continue breaking down the adhesive.
Step 4: Gently loosen and remove press on nails.
Once the nails start lifting, you can gently pop each Nail Dash up off. If they don’t easily lift up, you can continue to repeat steps 2 and 3, or use the cuticle pusher orNail Dash Removal Tool to carefully lift the press on nail away from the natural nail. Our Removal Tool has a flossed side that you can use to gently slide between your nail and the Nail Dash and use to work the fake nail off.
Pro Tip: Take your time and be careful not to apply too much pressure since that might cause damage to your natural nail.
It’s important to be gentle and take your time when removing press-ons. Improper removal, like tugging too hard or using harsh chemicals, can cause damage to your natural nails. With the right products and techniques, you can easily remove your press-on nails without any harm!
Step 5: File and buff nails.
After your Dashes have been removed, you can use a Nail File or Nail Buffer to take off any leftover nail glue. Taking the step of removing any lingering adhesive will prevent it from affecting the finished look of your next mani!
Step 6: Apply Cuticle Oil or Hand Cream.
Finally, apply some Cuticle Oil or Hand Cream to the nail and cuticle area to moisturize and restore your natural nail beds. From here, you can use your Red Aspen Nail File and Nail Clipper to shorten your nails to your desired length.
By following these simple steps, you can quickly and easily remove your Red Aspen press on nails without damaging your natural nails or your press on nails! (Nail Dashes can be reused!)
In Conclusion
Removing press ons doesn’t have to be difficult or damaging to your natural nails. With the right techniques and products, it is easy and painless to remove Red Aspen press on nails! By following these simple steps, you’ll not only be able to enjoy salon-style manicures longer, but you can also ensure that your nails are healthy in the long run!
Skip the salon, chipping nail polish, drying tin foil soaks, acrylic nail removal process, and hundreds of dollars each month, and switch to Nail Dashes. Make sure to stock up on Red Aspen Nail Dashes for easy, salon-quality nails at home in a DASH!
When it comes time to level up your look, fake nails can be a total game-changer. Not only are they super easy to use, but they look great and feel great too!
That being said, removing those pretty press-ons can sometimes be a total pain. Botch the process, and you run the risk of ruining your natural nails. Yikes! In this blog, we’ll walk you through all the proper steps to removing fake nails the right way. Let’s get started!
Why Is Nail Glue So Tough to Remove?
Any girl who’s familiar with fake nails knows the love-and-hate relationship with nail glue. Yes, we love it when the glue does its job, but we also hate it once it’s time for it to come off.
There’s a reason it’s so tough to remove, too. Your typical press-on nail glue contains ingredients known as cyanoacrylates, which are a family of strong, fast-acting adhesives that have a variety of uses. Cyanoacrylate glue is made from Ethyl cyanoacrylate and, when cured, it takes the shape of a polymer (think plastic) resin that bonds super strong and super quick. Because it works so well, it’s just as difficult to remove by design.
Different Types of Nail Glue & Nail Adhesive Applicators
Finding the perfect nail glue for your press-ons can also be a tad confusing at first. Google brings up a ton of results, and it’s tough to know which is the right fit for your nails at a glance. That being said, the best nail glue options are usually purchased and applied in one of two ways.
Nail Glue Squeeze Tube
One of the most basic ways to apply nail glue is through the use of a squeeze tube. These typically come packaged with a set of fake nails, and the process is as easy as placing the tip to your natural nail, squeezing the tube, and applying the glue as evenly as possible.
However, it’s important to note that a squeeze tube may be more of a gamble if you aren’t used to them. You’ll get plenty of glue out of it, but you might not always get the amount you want or need at a given moment. In fact, it’s much easier to squeeze a little too much at a time, leaving you to clean up the remaining glue as best you can.
Brush-on Nail Glue
Another way to apply nail glue is through the use of a brush-on tool. This tends to be a favorite for most women, as the brush makes things quicker and much more even overall. You can cover the whole nail in half the time. More importantly, it becomes much easier to control how much glue you use at once.
Rather than dealing with a ton of excess glue, you can spend that time admiring the amazing work you’ve done so far. Not only that, but you’ll have a much better picture of how long it might take you to repeat the process once you’re ready to change up the colors or patterns of your press-ons.
Nail Adhesive Strips
Options are everything, and for women who might still be on the fence about the semi-permanent nature of press-ons and super glue, nail adhesive strips provide a perfect temporary solution. Applied right to the base of your natural nail, they act like sticky guideposts for your press-ons. All you have to do is select the size that best fits your natural nail, peel off the backing, line things up, and voila! A non-damaging, easy-to-apply base for your fake nails.
That being said, it’s important to remember that adhesive strips are still a shorter-term option. While they’ll last for a few days (typically between 1-5), they won’t have the same sticking power as traditional nail glue. This means you’ll need to be much more careful with your nails than if you applied some stronger adhesive.
Removing Nail Glue Made Easy
It might be tempting to assume that removing nail glue is a messy and difficult process, especially if you’re new to glued-on fake nails in general. That couldn’t be farther from the truth! In fact, it’s so easy that you’ll likely be changing up your preferred styles in no time! Here’s a simple 5-step guide to removing excess nail glue in a flash.
Step 1: Soak Your Nails in Warm Soapy Water
The first step to properly removing nail glue is to soak your hands in warm soapy water. This will help to loosen up the adhesive, making it much easier to remove. Ten minutes is usually enough, though you can always leave them in for a little extra time as needed. Applying some nourishing cuticle oil to your nails prior to soaking is a benefit here, as is adding the cuticle oil to your warm, soapy water mixture.
Pop on your favorite show, listen to some music, whatever helps you to sit still and relax while the water works its way into the glue. Either way, the process doesn’t take too long once you get things going.
Step 2: Add an Acetone Soak
While a gentle soak in warm soapy water should help to dissolve most of the glue on your nails, it’s a good idea to soak your nails in some acetone as well. It’s a common ingredient in nail polish remover and, bottom line, it’s the most effective way to remove the majority of the remaining glue from your nails.
That being said, acetone isn’t particularly gentle on your skin. In fact, it’ll likely dry things out quite a bit. You’ll want to keep some moisturizer on hand for later, or make sure to apply our Hand Cream and/or use some Cuticle Oil after.
Step 3: Gently Peel Off Your Fake Nails
Once your hands and nails have been properly soaked, you can start gently removing your fake nails. A nail dash removal tool is especially helpful here, as the wooden stick that’s included with a set of nail dashes can gently lift the fake nails with the right amount of pressure.
Remember, the key here is to use light pressure and lift from the side. You never want to force removal or you risk damaging your natural nail. If this process is difficult, it’s best to repeat step one for a few extra minutes.
Step 4: Use a Nail Buffer or Cuticle Pusher to Remove Excess Glue
When peeling off your fake nails, there’s a good chance there might be some residual glue still left on the nail surface. This is a great time to break out your favorite nail buffer or nail file and get to work restoring your natural nails.
You should be able to get most of the glue off this way, though you can also perform some extra cuticle cleanup with a cuticle pusher. Whatever you decide to use, it’s good to keep your favorite nail care accessories close at hand, as you never know when you’ll need to do some extra scraping, trimming, or moisturizing.
Step 5: Nourish Your Nails with Cuticle Oil
To help speed up the nail glue removal process, another great idea is to apply some cuticle oil to your nails. Packed with ultra-hydrating ingredients like argan oil, jojoba oil, and Vitamin E, Red Aspen’s Cuticle Oil Pen can do wonders for nail health and the skin around it, nourishing and restoring your nail beds in a flash. In other words, your nails will appear shinier and glossier than ever before!

When it comes to high-ranking beauty needs, a solid skincare routine and regular appointments with the hairdresser tend to top a lot of women’s lists. Facial masks or lash extensions might fall somewhere in the middle, and there’s something to be said about a flawless fake tan during the autumn and winter months.
But what about your cuticles? Even if you’re not the type of person to indulge in bi-weekly or monthly manis/pedis, there’s no denying the confidence that comes with a healthy set of nails. After all, nail care remains vital to your overall health and appearance. Not only that, but clean, healthy nails give your hands and feet a noticeable touch of sophistication.
That said, what happens when you accidentally skip an appointment with your favorite nail technician? Alternatively, how do you know what steps you can take to keep your nails looking their best on your own? In this blog, we’ll go over everything you need to know about nail care, with tips and tricks you can use to keep your hands, nails, and cuticles looking their best at home. Let’s get started!
What are Cuticles?
First things first. Before we dive into proper nail care and all that comes with it, let’s do a quick refresher on what your cuticles are and why they’re important. If you weren’t already aware, your cuticles are the thin layer of transparent skin that’s located at the base of the nail bed. As your nails grow, this thin layer of skin rips to make way for new nails, a process that begins at the root of your nail and repeats for all your fingers and toes.
Looking more closely, you should also see a tiny, white, crescent-shaped area at the base of your nail, similar in shape to a half-moon in the sky. This is known as the lunula and, along with the cuticle, it helps to form the base of your fingernails and toenails. More importantly, the cuticle acts as a tight seal, steadily doing its part to keep out unwanted dirt and debris from causing infection or endangering new nails as they grow.
Why is Cuticle Care Important?
Naturally, this begs the question, “Why are cuticles so important?” To answer that, start by asking yourself a few questions about your own nails. Are they long, shaped the way you like them, or perfectly polished? Do they look blunt or blank, ready for an afternoon of yard work rather than a night on the town? Whatever your answer may be, this touches upon the importance of proper nail care, starting first and foremost with your cuticles.
Remember, your cuticles act as a barrier to help keep out dirt and debris. This means they play a super important role in your overall health and the health of your nails. They offer protection for the tissue that helps grow new cells and build new nails, with each fingernail and toenail helping to guard the delicate skin beneath from harm.
Since your nails are constantly growing, this means that routine manicures and pedicures go far beyond simple aesthetics. They help to promote nail health at the highest level, from pruning pesky hangnails to removing dead skin cells that can become trapped under your nails and cause infection. If that weren’t enough, manicures and pedicures are a great way to improve blood circulation, as the added massage offered by most salons will likely include your arms, lower legs, and feet. Put simply, healthy cuticles are the key to healthier nails, which in turn are tied to healthier (and prettier) hands and feet.
Given the importance of healthy cuticles, it only makes sense that we take some time to go over a few things you can do to keep yours in tip-top shape throughout the year. From moisturizers to cuticle oils, here are some easy ways you can care for your cuticles at home!
Regularly Moisturize Your Hands and Nails
One of the easiest ways to give your cuticles the TLC they deserve is to regularly moisturize your hands and nails with high-quality skincare products. In other words, you’ll want to focus on finding a hand cream designed to moisturize and nourish your skin, nails, and cuticles with a variety of good-for-you ingredients.
This means looking for key ingredients like shea butter, as shea butter is known to hydrate and condition the cuticles and surrounding skin quickly, leaving the skin feeling irresistibly soft and silky smooth. Likewise, you’ll want to be on the lookout for hand creams that include sunflower seed oil as a primary ingredient, as the moisture-retaining properties of sunflower seed oil are ideal for refreshing and replenishing your skin in a pinch. To add to that, aim to find a hand cream infused with pomegranate extract, as this is an easy way to enrich your skin with antioxidants and omegas that can help reduce skin dryness in the process.
While the benefits of hand cream extend beyond hydration, you’ll find that the best hand cream formulas deliver just the right amount of moisture to the delicate skin on your cuticles. Furthermore, you’ll discover how easy it is to find a moisturizing hand cream that’s fragrance-free, saving you from the potential embarrassment of stinky skincare routines. For an extra step in cuticle care, consider adding hand masks to your skincare regimen as well. Not only will you be adding valuable moisture to your nails and cuticles, but you’ll have the perfect priming product to give yourself the best manicures of your life, especially if you’re the kinda gal who enjoys a pretty set of press-ons!
Treat Your Feet to Moisturizing Foot Masks!
A solid cuticle care routine also means putting your best, most pampered foot forward. After all, your toes deserve just as much TLC! Thankfully, it’s super easy to treat your feet to a variety of luxurious and nourishing skincare products.
In fact, when it comes to keeping your piggies looking pristine, a moisturizing foot mask is a great first step. Like the best hand creams, finding the best foot mask also means taking a good look at the ingredients, of which a few tend to stand out. For instance, a foot mask with a rich blend of calming oils like argan, shea butter, jojoba oil, and coconut oil will leave your feet feeling deeply nourished and moisturized. Likewise, you can’t go wrong with anti-aging ingredients like hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, and ceramides, as these can help to protect and replenish the delicate skin of your feet with each use. The end result? Baby-soft and healthy-looking feet all year long.
Best of all, adding foot masks to your beauty regimen is super easy! The process only takes about 10-15 minutes, and you can sit back with your favorite book, TV show, or podcast while you pamper those piggies. Win-win!
Apply Some Nail Cuticle Oil
Whether you lead a super active lifestyle or tend to be more laid back, your hands and nails are going to be exposed to all sorts of environmental and chemical stressors. From dirt and debris to harsh chemicals in your favorite soaps, there’s a good chance your hands, nails, and cuticles will lose some valuable moisture from everyday activities.
Thankfully, the perfect solution to keeping your nails and cuticles looking their best is also small enough to fit neatly into your purse or makeup bag. By investing in cuticle oil from Red Aspen, you can gently nourish your nails with natural oils, ensuring they stay smooth and moisturized 24/7. Infused with argan oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, and grape seed oil, you’ll have the ultimate formula to hydrate and help repair your skin’s natural appearance, especially for those colder, drier months where it’s easy for your skin to dry or crack more quickly.
Not only that, but you’ll enjoy a formula rich in vitamins A, C, and E, giving your skin essential fatty acids that help to rejuvenate dry skin and protect against further damage from free radicals. Like hand creams and foot masks, cuticle oil is also exceptionally easy to add to your existing beauty regimen. The process takes only a few minutes, and as an added benefit, it’s a fantastic way to break down existing nail glue if you’re the type of gal to indulge in a cute set of press-on nails. Best of all, your nails will look shinier and glossier than ever before!
Use the Right Cuticle Care Tools
Even if your purse or makeup bag is filled with all the best cuticle oil and moisturizers you can buy, it pays to bolster your beauty routine with the right cuticle care tools as well. Here are a few nail accessories you’ll want to have on standby.
Cuticle Pusher
Because your skin usually grows flat over the nail, proper nail maintenance involves pushing the cuticle back toward the skin of your finger, repeated for each nail. Naturally, this makes a quality cuticle pusher an invaluable part of any serious beauty kit. Not only will this keep your cuticles healthy long-term, but it’ll give them a longer appearance as well, better preparing them for polish or the application of press-on nails later.
Cuticle Nipper
Every gal knows that a flawless manicure is all about precision. As such, the right cuticle nipper can make all the difference when it’s time to freshen things up with a new look. Used properly, you’ll have the perfect tool to gently trim cuticles and hangnails in a jiffy.
Mani & Pedi Clippers
No beauty kit is complete without a comfortable pair of mani/pedi clippers. Not only are they the ideal tool for trimming your fingernails and toenails to the perfect length, but they’re also great for keeping things tidy. More importantly, nail clippers tend to work best when combined with a cuticle nipper, as the 2-step process is the best way to ensure you have nothing to fear from stubborn hangnails.
Nail File
Whether you have longer nails, shorter nails, or something in between, it’s always a good idea to have a nail file at the ready. As one of the more basic nail care tools, it’s the best way to keep a uniform shape and length to your nails, especially if you enjoy flaunting your latest flawless mani or pedi.
That being said, remember that it’s easy to accidentally file your nails incorrectly, leading to jagged or frayed nails, or even damage to the cuticles or nail beds. This means that for the best results, you’ll want to focus on filing from the outer corner of your nail toward the center of your nail, rather than sawing back and forth with the file.
Avoid Biting or Picking Your Nails
Let’s face it, many of us have been nail-biters or nail-pickers in our lifetimes. They’re easy habits to fall into, especially during stress or moments of anxiety. That being said, it should go without saying that the health and longevity of your nails (and your nail polish) are equally dependent on you avoiding the temptation to bite or pick at your nails.
Aside from causing more issues with hangnails (we’ve all bitten off more than we expected before), excess nail biting can lead to increased risks of infection if the wound isn’t treated properly. Not only that, but there’s all sorts of germs and dirt that can build up underneath your fingernails from daily activities. Despite your best efforts to keep your hands and nails clean, there’s no reason to give those germs free access to your mouth.
Worse yet, repeatedly biting on your nails can lead to dental problems down the line, such as misalignment or even chipped teeth! Yikes! All in all, even if you’re a habitual nail-biter, do your very best to curb that habit as soon as you can. Your nails (and your immune system) will certainly thank you later!
Have an After-care Process in Place for Your Nails
Last but certainly not least, preserving that delicate cuticle glow is a lot easier when you have an after-care process in place for your nails. This includes regularly moisturizing your nails and taking the necessary breaks between manicures to allow your nails and nail beds time to heal and regrow.
If you’re a lover of press-on nails, then take the extra time to also go over how to remove your press-on nails the right way, as the tips and tricks provided can give better insight into steps you might need to add to your everyday beauty routine.

If you had to narrow down a single must-have for your purse or makeup bag, a quality hand cream should easily top that list. Like your favorite facial cleanser or body lotion, some items just can’t be skipped over, especially if you hope to keep your skin looking and feeling its best.
Infused with nourishing ingredients that can quickly repair and replenish dry and damaged skin, a moisturizing hand cream can be irreplaceable. Our hands are often neglected, and between constant sun exposure and everyday activities, the skin on our hands goes through a lot during a typical 24-hour period. In this blog, we’ll talk more about what makes hand cream so important, with a special shout out to the wonderful things Red Aspen Hand Cream can do for your skin. Here are six not-so-secret reasons to add Red Aspen Hand Cream to your everyday skincare routine.
Reasons to Love Red Aspen Hand Cream
There are many reasons to love a high-quality hand cream and, like most skincare products, the market is fiercely competitive. There are thousands of products out there all promising the same results, and it can be tough to sort through the lemons to find a hand lotion or cream that works the way you need it to. This is especially true if you suffer from excessively dry or sensitive skin, as this often means taking a more careful approach to the listed ingredients to ensure they won’t irritate your skin.
With an ultra-moisturizing, daily-use formula meant to hydrate and condition the skin, nails, and cuticles, Red Aspen Hand Cream stands out among the best hand creams available. From its ability to deeply moisturize dry and flaky skin to its fragrance-free formula, and powerful, high-quality ingredients, here are a few of the benefits of Red Aspen Hand Cream at a glance.
The Best Hand Cream for Extremely Dry Skin
No matter your lifestyle or profession, your hands are exposed to a number of environmental and chemical stressors. As one of the most-used parts of your body, they come into contact with everything from daily dirt and debris to harsh soaps and chemicals, despite your best efforts to keep them clean! Hand washes and sanitizers can quickly strip away natural oils, and cold-weather trips to the grocery store can have their own effects on your skin as well. In short, your palms, fingers, and cuticles are constantly at risk of losing valuable moisture.
Left unchecked, these everyday stressors can lead to extremely dry skin. Not only is this frustrating, but it can be downright painful, as super dry skin can quickly flake, peel, or crack under the worst conditions. Keeping your skin moisturized is an exercise in self-care, making Red Aspen Hand Cream the ultimate solution to soothe very dry skin. Pomegranate extract helps to enrich your skin with antioxidants and omegas to reduce skin dryness. At the same time, you’ll enjoy the moisture-retaining power of sunflower seed oil, leaving your hands feeling soft, supple, and thoroughly hydrated.
The Perfect Hand Cream to Protect and Repair Damaged Skin
Did you know that our hands actually age faster than our faces? It’s one of the stranger facts of life, but it’s true nonetheless! Think about it, if our faces can develop fine lines and wrinkles just from frowning, squinting, and smiling throughout the day, imagine the potential for wrinkles on our hands. Look back on how often you hold your phone, grip a steering wheel, or do some general lifting around the house.
Put simply, your hands are constantly moving. Combined with the fact that the skin on your hands is thinner than the skin on your face, you can understand why your hands are one of the first indicators of the aging process. Sure, aging is unavoidable, but that doesn’t mean you have to stress over how visibly (or gracefully) your skin ages along with you. By investing in the best hand cream from the start, you can repair damaged skin as it occurs. In addition, you can help return elasticity to your skin for more youthful-looking hands, basking in all the confidence that comes with it.
Skin-soothing Ingredients Including Shea Butter
Without a doubt, one of the most important factors for rating the effectiveness of a particular brand of hand cream is how well it hydrates your skin. When you pop onto Google and type in something like “hydrating hand cream” or “best hand cream for dry hands,” you want something that tops the list of those search results.
In an ideal world, this means you also want to look for a hand cream with key moisturizing ingredients like shea butter. Using shea butter regularly helps to soothe dry skin and retain skin moisture, giving your hands a soft and silky texture. Not only that, but shea butter is absolutely loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents, giving it a rightful place in some of the richest, most tried-and-true hand creams available.
A Splendid Complement to Your Self-tanning Routine
One little-known fact about hand creams is how well they can work as part of a self-tanning routine. More specifically, hand creams are a great final step in achieving a great fake tan. Whether you prefer dabbling in tanning drops or mixing it up with tanning mousse, a quality hand cream can create the perfect skin barrier to protect your newly tanned skin from environmental stressors. Not to mention, you get a healthy dose of hydration for those extra dry spots, namely your elbows, knees, and ankles. Just don’t forget to grab the right self-tanning accessories along the way!
Let’s be real, unless you live on the beach or within a few miles of some big body of water, you’re probably not going out of your way to lay out and soak up the sun for days or weeks at a time. This goes double for those who live in hotter or colder climates where too much time outside can damage or dry out your skin more quickly. If you’re among the millions of women and men who still want that sun-kissed glow year-round, a fabulous fake tan is often the answer. That being the case, you owe it to yourself to invest in Red Aspen Hand Cream, as the ultra-moisturizing formula is the ideal path toward a more natural and buildable tan.
A Fast-absorbing and Fragrance-free Formula
Imagine for a moment that you find the perfect hand cream, one that solves all your previously unsolvable hand cream problems. It doesn’t feel greasy, it absorbs quickly, and it’s tailor-made for dry skin. There’s just one problem: it reeks.
If there’s one beauty dilemma that never ceases to annoy, it’s when you find a product that works oh-so-perfectly, but makes you and those around you want to plug their nose. Worse yet, beauty is inherently subjective and personal, meaning what smells like death to you might smell like heaven to someone else, and vice versa.
Thankfully, there’s an easy solution. By opting for a fragrance-free hand cream like Red Aspen Hand Cream, you get all the moisturizing and nourishing benefits of a quality hand cream without the dreaded skincare stench. Better still, you get a non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula that can deeply hydrate even the most dry winter skin, rich in antioxidants and key ingredients like Vitamin E to soothe and protect aging hands.
Nourishment for Your Nails and Cuticles
It’s no secret that the most popular hand creams all have one thing in common: they’re exceptional at nourishing not only the skin on your hands, but the nails and cuticles as well. While it might be tempting to reach for your favorite body lotions or body cream when it’s time for a little TLC on your hands, the truth is that these formulas won’t be up to the job. Most notably, the skin on your cuticles is much more delicate, requiring a specialized product to deliver the right amount of moisture with a gentle touch.
With Red Aspen Hand Cream, you have a product designed to pamper your hands and cuticles from the get-go, infused with good-for-you ingredients to promote healthier and more youthful nails. The end result is a hand cream you’ll want to keep anywhere and everywhere, from your purse to your car, makeup bag, and even your desk at work!

Here’s what you’ll need to transform your nails with press-ons:
Nail polish remover
Nail clippers
Nail file
Nail buffer
Cuticle pusher stick
A bowl of warm water
Rubbing alcohol and cotton rounds
Nail glue
A press-on nail set, Red Aspen Nail Dashes kit (which comes with 24 nails as well as a cuticle stick, a buffer/file combo, nail glue, and a silver mat)
Prepare Your Nails
Preparing your nail beds and cuticles before applying your press-on nails will ensure that the final result looks as clean and natural as possible. It will also help your manicure last longer.
Clean Your Nails
Start by removing any existing nail polish, then washing and drying your hands so they’re free of any oils or other residues.
Clean Up Your Cuticles
Next, soak your nails in a bowl of warm water for several minutes to soften your cuticles. Then push your cuticles back with a cuticle pusher stick.
In addition, use your Nail Buffer to gently buff the surface of your nails and smooth out any ridges or uneven areas and ensure your nails are perfectly pristine palettes.
Wipe Nails
To remove excess oil from your nail beds, wipe them down with rubbing alcohol or our Nail Prep Pads and let it fully evaporate. This will ensure maximum adhesion and staying power of the nail glue you’re about to apply.
Before you start applying individual press-ons to each nail, be sure to set aside ten press-ons that fit your natural nails so they’re ready to go once you begin the (somewhat time-sensitive) application step.
Apply Nail Glue and Press-On Nails
Starting from your pinkies and working your way toward your thumbs, glue down each nail one by one. For each nail, apply the nail glue to each of your natural nails and (depending on how long you intend to wear them) the back of your press-on nails. The Nail Dashes come with a little nail glue pen, but I suggest you get the Brush On Glue.
Here’s how much glue to use, depending on how long you plan to wear your press-ons:
1-3 days: Apply a thin line of glue from the natural nail, cuticle to tip
4-6 days: Apply a pearl-sized dot of glue to the natural nail
7-14 days: Apply a thin layer of glue to the back of the press-on nail and a pea size dot of glue to the natural nail
Allow the glue to dry for several seconds, and then begin applying by aligning the base of each press-on nail with the cuticle and applying them at a 45-degree angle. Press down on each nail firmly for 30 seconds to keep it in place.
Customize Your Nails
The press-ons you’re using may already be an ideal length and shape for you, or you might need to take off some length and/or shape the nails a bit to truly customize your manicure. You can even add additional nail art to your press-ons, if desired. This is the best tool ever! I always used one in my 30+ years of being a Nail Technician. Nail Reshaper

Excited about doing your own professional-quality manicure in just a few minutes, but unsure how to select the best brand of press-on nails? We’ve got you!
Red Aspen Nail Dashes
Red Aspen Nail Dashes are an ideal choice for a customizable, non-damaging mani that can be applied in only a few minutes (and for much less than a visit to your local nail salon). You can change them every few days to match them to your outfits, or you can wear them for as long as two weeks straight—whatever you prefer.
Style-wise, your options are practically unlimited! Our Nail Dashes come in a variety of different shapes (like square, almond, round, coffin, and more), lengths from petite to extra long, and finishes ranging from shiny to matte and glitter to chrome. Plus, many of these shapes, lengths, and finishes would be difficult to obtain through alternatives like polish, stickers, or wraps.
Nail Dashes are also easy to apply in minutes (simply follow the steps above), and won’t damage your natural nails. Better yet, they’re cruelty-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, paraben-free, and vegan, so they’re also guilt-free!
