I used a 3.5mm hook, approx. 70 yards of baby yarn.

Instead of turning and chaining, I use the Stack Single Crochet.   

       How to by Hope Corner Farm Crochet

Ch 10   

Rd 1: Dc 3^rd chain from hook, 6dc,  8dc in last ch, working on opposite side of chain:  6dc,  7dc in last ch.  (28 sts) 

Rd 2: Join, Ssc in same st, (counts as a dc), 6dc, 2dc in next 8dc, 6dc, 2dc in next 7dcs.  (44 sts)

Rd 3:  Join, Ssc in bl of same st, bldc around.  (44 sts) 

Rd 4:  8sc, 8fldc2tog, 20sc  (36 sts) 

Rd 5:  8sc, 4fldc2tog, 20sc.   (32 sts)

Rd 6:  8sc, 2fldc2tog, 20sc  (30 sts)

Rd 7:  8sc, fldc2tog, 20dc  (29 sts)

Rd 8:  29hdc 

Rd 9 – 12:  Repeat row 8

Rd 13:  29sc  

Rd 14:  Sl st, ch1, in each st around.

Fold down cuff.
